FAQS
What is Scalp Micropigmentation?
SMP is a cosmetic tattoo procedure used to create the illusion of new hair follicles on your scalp.
The pigment is deposited below the epidermis layer using a dotting method. It is a semipermanent procedure that will fade over time. I create a custom look using the appropriate needle size and ink ratio to perfectly match
your hair follicles for a flawless blend.
Scalp micropigmentation offers a non-surgical and non-invasive solution for people looking to camouflage hair loss, create the look of a shaved head, or enhance their existing hairstyle.
SMP can be utilized on its own to recreate hairlines, add the look of fullness to thinning hair, or be used to complement a hair transplant. Both men and women can see amazing results from scalp micropigmentation. It will boost your confidence and self-esteem with no down time!
How long does it last?
The longevity will come down to a couple factors; we are tattooing just below the epidermis layer of skin so the health of your scalp is so important. IN general you will need to
come for a touch up appointment every two to five years to refresh any fading and ensure the dots are crisp. following after care is so crucial for excellent SMP results.
Can I get SMP if I have blonde or red hair?
Absolutely! SMP is a customized pigment that we match to your hair root that casts a shadow. Our pigments work off a grey scale so there isn’t a hair colour I can’t match!
Does SMP hurt?
I have found that people have a different level of pain tolerance, but for the most part, clients have related the feeling of getting SMP to an irritating bite or small pinch. Some clients have fallen asleep during their treatment,
but I do have a topical numbing spray if needed.
